What does a T-square, compass and protractor have to do with gravitas, presence and personal brand?

From Steel Toes to Stilettos
My name is KL Moore. People refer to me by my initials, simply K.L. I’m a speaker, Personal Development Coach and Executive Image Consultant. I’m also the author of the forthcoming book and newly created podcast program, ‘The Stiletto Code’.
I am passionate about helping women who work in male-dominated environments master the things we often overlook and few people will ever tell you – the unwritten rules about what to say (or not to say), how we say it and how we physically show up in the room as women.
KL Moore knows a thing or two about working in male-dominated environments and the constant struggle to stand out in meaningful ways.
The Science Behind the Transition
As a former electrical engineer, prior boutique owner turned image consultant, I’ve worn a lot of hats.
If you’re wondering how a left-brain electrical engineer transitioned to a right brain image consultant and speaker, you’re not alone. It really does make sense … well sorta.
Put it all together and I now give women practical advice, real solutions, systems and processes to project confidence through the clothes they wear, the words they speak and how they move (body language) their bodies.
From Steel Toes to Stilettos
As an electrical engineer in the agricultural bio-technology industry, I learned to play the corporate game trial-by-fire. Guilty of falling short of common mistakes that women make in their careers, I was a self-professed worker-bee who failed to network, failed to speak up in meetings and avoided anything that had to do with presenting in front of a living object! Through self-discovery, professional development resources and mentors, I had a defining moment that prompted me to take control of my career.
I eventually left the manufacturing plant and went from steel toes to stilettos. I traded my tools (T-square, compass and protractor) for topics (gravitas, presence and personal brand) to empower women and the companies in which they work.
3 ‘Pillars of Being’
Live life on purpose. Discover your God-given purpose in life. It’s what will keep you going in the midst of a storm.
Women, take control of your career. Don’t just wait on your next job to appear. Go find it!
Hard work, business acumen and textbook knowledge alone are not enough. Find out what you don’t know and learn it, quickly!
This is the KL Difference.
